Pretty recently my grandma was cleaning out her basement when she found an old suitcase that she was going to throw out. Well a couple weeks before I saw a pin on pinterest of a craft suitcase and decided to try it out. First I went to Joanns and bought some really cute fabric and some glossy modge podge. I had never worked with modge podge before (it's wonderful) so my mom sent me out to the lawn where I began to work on my suitcase.
Step 1

I put the modge podge in a clear disposable tupper ware then I used fabric scissors and cut out the flowers and designs in the fabric. Then I would take a paint brush and modge podge over the suitcase and stick the fabric on. Modge Podge is very forgiving and shows little mistakes so don't feel like you are adding to much. To much is better than too little. I covered the whole suitcase including the sides with the modge podge fabric.
Step 2

The inside of my suitcase was disgusting someone had spilled red Popsicle inside it and there was a HUGE red stain so I pulled out all the original fabric and attached my own fabric inside by using a hot glue gun.
Step 3

Next I went to the dollar store and bought a cookie pan which I glued on to the top half of suitcase then I got some magnetic cups and glued some magnets and fabric and made more little containers. For the finishing touch I used my cricut to cut out my name (if you don't have a cricut then foam letters or other stickers would work). And BAM you have a suitcase for all your buttons, glitter, crayons coloring books etc. It's so much fun to take places and whip out your homemade craft suitcase and everyone is in awe!
